DIY Cat Treat Puzzle

I've become a cat lady the day I got Roma, which was only a few days over a month ago. I start to watch more kitty videos, read more about cat behaviors, and just in general crazy about cats. I don't think it's very healthy... but well, who cares, I just want to be a better cat parent (see, I sounds like a crazy cat lady. Cat parent?! What is that?!)

Anyways, during my "research" of cats, I learnt that it is good for cats to learn how to "earn" their food than just lick the whole bowl in 2 minutes after begging with "puppy/kitty eyes". Of course my first instinct was to get on Amazon and started searching for the coolest one, however most of them seem rather pricy. That's when I started look around what I have in my apartment and started coming up with cheap alternatives for Cat Treat Puzzles.

Today I will show you one of the easiest DIY for a treat puzzle for your fur bestie.

Here's what you need: a pair of scissors, the inner tube of your toilet paper/paper towel, and your cat's favorite treats.

Step 1: Resize the tube

If you used paper towel tube, cut that in half. If you used toilet paper, then ignore this step.

Step 2: Fold the tube

This is very simple. Just fold both ends of the resized tube inwards, and make sure the gap is smaller than the treats.

Step 3: Stab the tube

Use your scissors and cut a hole on the side of the tube. Make sure the hole is slightly larger than your treats so they can actually come out.

Step 4: Stuff the tube

Last step, insert treats.

Violà! There's your super cheap and easy to make Cat Treat Puzzle.
